Winter 2022 Schedule Winter 2022 Roster
Our 2022 Winter Soccer League is an outdoor eight-week program that consists of games on Saturdays. All games are at Strawberry Point School in Mill Valley.
Teams will consist of 9–10 players. Build a team with your class or neighborhood friends!
Parent volunteers coach teams for their games. Dave Fromer Soccer coaches referee the games while providing additional coaching support for parent coaches and players.
Small-Sided Games
Our outdoor Winter Soccer League is played via small-sided games (6 v 6) that incentivize players to maintain focus on the game at hand. Small-sided games by their nature keep players engaged in the game at all times, since they are fast-paced and highly fluid. A player with the ball has a smaller choice of teammates to pass to, which gives all teammates a greater responsibility to stay engaged in the game.
The result is a much deeper appreciation for the game, faster and more consistent growth as a player, and a stronger desire to stay focused on the challenge at hand.
Our Winter Soccer League will follow all current county and state COVID-19 guidelines.

K – 8th Grade $275
Register by December 22nd, 2021—Players registering after 12/22/21 are placed on a wait list and added on a space-available basis.
Coach/Team Members
A team consists of 9–10 players. Once a player is confirmed with the coach for playing on the team, they may register as a member of the team by noting their coach's name on the registration form. Coaches must submit a roster of their players and a team name.
Unaffiliated Players
Players registering as unaffiliated players will be placed on teams. Whenever possible, requests for teammates will be honored.
We encourage parents to consider organizing a group of 9–10 players and entering as a team. DFS will add players to complete any teams with less than 9 players. A parent coach is required for each team. No prior coaching experience is necessary. We provide training for parent volunteer coaches.
Equipment
Shinguards and soccer cleats are not mandatory, but are strongly recommended. Goalkeepers may use goalie gloves and/or knee pads (we do not provide either).
